The World Bank has revised its definition and benchmarks to measure poverty since 1990, with $2 per day income on purchasing power parity basis as the definition in use from 2005 to 2013.
As per the Government methodology, BPL card assigned to the family, those who comes under the criteria. But this methodology does not cover all aspects of income-source for an individual.
Improper implementation allows those ineligible to gain benefits of the BPL status and those who are eligible are barred from these benefits.
In such situation government scheme can't reach to right person. In villages many civilian belongs to farming background, some of them have their own land and some of them work on the others land. And in some cases, farmer owns land in different villages.
So it’s a challenging task for the Govt. to track financial condition of the people.
Many times governmental administration and our IT management team simultaneously look for solutions. And in our drive for solutions, in many cases we found that the person belongs to BPL but he is financially good, he owns land is in the same village or in different villages.
So we started working through KHASRA number of land. We took map of the village. The Map has been developed using KHASARA number. We have developed solution which mapped land owner information on MAP through KHASARA number. When government authority clicks on KHASARA number, they will get all information related to land, family, business, crop etc.
We have developed a portal which has huge database. This portal store information of civilian’s land, family, business, banking, crop, medicinal, education, sources of energy, sources of water etc. We have given unique id to each civilian, and this ID is linked to KHASRA Number. When government authority will click on KHASARA no then our tool will fetch entry id related to KHASAR no. Thereby get all information of a civilian.
With the help of our tool government can analyze number of people come under poverty line, water condition for farming, education level, medical condition, electrical power sources, fertilizer availability, crop information etc.
